Attendance and Make-Up Policy

Speaking and interaction are central to this program, so regular live attendance matters.

Attendance

Regular attendance is important because speaking and interaction are central to the program. Families should contact Andrew if a student expects to miss more than three classes.

Missed classes

  • Materials and a brief summary are provided for a missed class.
  • Classes are not routinely recorded, because live participation and speaking practice are essential.
  • Students may schedule office hours for additional support.
  • Office hours do not replace recurring missed classes, and no individual make-up classes are guaranteed.
  • Missed classes do not qualify for refunds after the second class.

Office hours

Office hours for optional extra support are available by appointment: up to two 20-minute appointments per student during the program. Additional support is at the instructor's discretion and does not replace regularly scheduled classes.

Program schedule

  • 24 live classes across 12 instructional weeks.
  • Thanksgiving week: Classes meet on Monday, November 23, and Tuesday, November 24. There are no classes on Wednesday, November 25, or Thursday, November 26. Those missed sessions have been added to the end of the program.
  • Winter break: There are no classes from December 21, 2026, through January 3, 2027. Classes resume during the week of January 4.

Cohort size

Each cohort has a maximum of 10 students. Each cohort requires a minimum of four students. If a cohort does not reach minimum enrollment, families may transfer to another available cohort or receive a full refund.
